Festive Table | Flowers | Vintage | Homewares | Gifts
The last event curated by Design Weaver was the Ucycle Recycle Design Studio. Kiran, director of Design Weaver says "It was a beautiful eye opener, reminding me of just how lovely and refreshing it is to work with new people."
"If you are willing to be open to new ideas, the possibilities are endless, and the efforts you put in, can come back in spades!"
Kiran's next emporium event 7 Clovelly Road is Design Weaver & Friends.
This year, for Design Weaver's Summer pop up, the focus is on the Festive Home, with all sorts of beautiful handmade treasures to lift your spirits. Design Weaver has collected together a wonderful group of creatives, including glass artist Tanya Reinli, who is presenting a new selection of upcycled glassware, made from salvaged glass bottles.
There will be luxe handmade ceramic work from Little White Dish, with whom Kiran has been wanting to work with for a long time. Along with a beautiful abundance of ceramic dishes, cups and vases, Deb has created a special 6 piece dinner set (plates and bowls), but you’ll need to be quick to nab this!
The dinner set will be complemented by the most delicate upcycled silver and silver plate condiment dishes and spoons from Mitchell Maker. Have a look at Carolyn’s insta for a teaser showing the beautiful items she is working on, exclusively for the Design Weaver & Friends Pop Up.
The softness in the space will come from Design Weaver cushions and table runners as well as vintage napery sourced from France by Tinker Tailor.
"The lead up to summer is particularly poignant this year", says Kiran. "We wanted to have a beautiful injection of flowers and botanicals to refresh the space, and so working with a florist for this pop up was essential. Kerstin from Blume flower school will be in the space each week, making festive wreaths and posies, as well as offering bespoke workshops. You can gather a group of up to 4 friends, for a luxury evening of slow, mindful making, with snacks and drinks, but again, it's first in best dressed, with only a couple of opportunities available! You can contact Kerstin to discuss options tailored to you by emailing info@blume.com.au
All senses will be catered to, with the divine scents from Humble Hive collective beeswax candles filling the room with fragrance. The Humble Hive Collective have a motto of 'Saving the environment one hive at a time' and they specialise in honey, beeswax products & hive hosting. Design Weaver is trying to tempt them into hosting some information sessions for Sydney Beekeeping Wannabees, during the pop up....follow @humblehivecollective on instagram for more information.
And of course there will be some ‘classic with a twist’ salvaged furniture and lighting pieces from Design Weaver!
